So just exactly what is "The G.A.C.K"? The letters stand for Garfield Art Club for Kids. Every Thursday when the date is an even number we meet in the art room for an hour and a half after school. All that is required to join is that the student have a parent permission slip on file with me. The kids spend their time working on individual projects and school improvement activities. One of the favorite projects this year was the week that the kids designed and painted trash cans for the school.
The kids worked in teams of two in order to make sure that the trash cans were finished and dry enough to take back to the classrooms when it was time to leave for the evening.
