Drawing is just like any other skill-you have to practice to get "better." Also it is helpful when someone shows you how place things on your paper. One of the things that first graders need to learn is that not everything should go at the very bottom of the page. So we draw a very simple landscape to introduce them to this concept. When the kids finish they are so very proud of their work!
