Well the pirate ships are finally done. I got the basic idea for this from another art-teacher blog, Deep Space Sparkle. Putting the ships, sails, and masts together was challenging for the kids. It's the whole "front-back" thing. The masts have to be glued onto the back of the boats, but the sails have to be glued onto the front of the masts! Anyways the kids had a blast-and we got to learn how curved lines suggest movement in our artwork.
