The 2nd graders have been designing and drawing treasure maps. These pictures are from the second phase where they get to "smash and crumple" their artwork to make it look "old". Everything I have read from other art teachers has told me that there are usually a few children who cannot bear to crumple up their artwork and to have a back-up plan in case of tears. Well exactly the opposite happened. I have never seen kids so excited!
These two were hard at work-anticipating the moment when they too could crumple and smash! Finished pictures to follow soon!
